My Students

I am currently a K-2 Exceptional Education Teacher in a self-contained classroom.
I teach in a low-income, urban, Title I school. The population of the school is majority African Americans students.
My students face a lot of challenges on an every day basis, but it does not stop them from learning and being the best they can be. I enjoy teaching each and everyone of them. My students are sweet and wonderful kids who want to learn as much as they can. They will definitely put a smile on your face!
My Project
As we all know that this past year and a half has been the unexpected year and a year to remember. We are trying to get things back to normal so I am trying to make sure my students feel comfortable and safe when entering into my classroom and school building.
The items that I am requesting include cleaning and sanitation items to help us stay safe and clean.
I also wanted to get some children's books about the first day of school and also some social emotional books as well to help manage and cope with mental health issues.
We all have been through the storm this past year and hopefully the sunshine is ready to shine as bright as it hasn't before. Let's make this school year a year to remember as well.
