Ms. Hubbard from Monroe LA is requesting classroom basics through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need pencils, crayons, glue, markers, and other school supplies to complete school work and projects. Office supplies are needed to maintain my students' confidential records as well as to create learning manipulatives.

I teach at small neighborhood school in Monroe, Louisiana. All of my students live in a low economic area. My students see school as a safe place with a calm learning environment.
My students are 2nd grade boys and girls that come to school every day eager to learn.
My students have learning challenges, but these challenges can be overcome with patience and flexible teaching strategies. My students meet me at the door every day excited to learn and participate in the day's lesson.
My students learn better with hands on manipulatives that will be made with the cardstock. They will also use the cardstock for activities to further their understanding of concepts taught in class.
These resources, sharpies, flip cards, gluesticks and other art supplies , will be used daily to help my students do projects, complete daily work, and organize the classroom.
My students can use these supplies to create flash cards, foldables, and learning tools to review reading and math concepts taught during class. Students can take these items home so that they may review daily activities with their parents. These concepts lay the foundation for my students' education for years to come.
