My Project
The items in this project will be essential to effective focus and learning in my classroom this year for my 8th graders because, most importantly the charger cords for their classroom electronic devices are essential for my students daily learning and assignments in class. My students need to have access to their Google Classrooms during the school day, as well as at home. Having a classroom with access to technology is essential to my students academic success.
The wellness items such as hygiene/self-care products are essential to their well being on a daily basis.
I want to create a safe place where my students can get what they need to take care of themselves in school. They are middle schoolers and can sometimes forget to pack essential self-care items. The snack items are for those students who may miss breakfast or may not like what is being served for lunch that day. They can grab something from their own classroom pantry to eat so they are focused on school and learning. Snack breaks every now and then are essential to building community, relationships and rapport with my students.
I want my students to always feel at home in their classroom! Creating a safe and welcoming environment in the classroom is essential to their academic success. My students will utilize all of the items in this project on a daily basis. They won't have to worry about being embarrassed or shy about having to ask for certain things to help them get through their school day if it is already provided in our classroom.
