This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Back to school is always such a special time of the year. Everyone is feeling hopeful and excited for all the new experiences the year will bring.

The feeling of being welcomed on the first day of school encourages a more positive learning environment, cultivates a feeling of belonging and helps set the tone for a wonderful new school year.

In order for each student to feel welcome to our class I would like to give each one of my students a welcome-back goody bag filled with inspirational pencils and notebooks, as well as a stress ball, and more. I would also like to include the novel Matilda by Roald Dahl because of all the lessons it can teach one of them being that being unique and different is a good thing. Something I've strived to teach all my students.
