My Project

These books will be added to similar books we already have and can't keep on the shelves. Kids love reading these books and there is a waiting list for the few we currently have in our library. These Weird But True books really call out to students who don’t seem interested in reading.

Reluctant readers don’t think of reading as a chore when they are learning about crazy animals, amazing feats of strength, dexterity, and just plain weird facts.

With lots of vibrant pictures readers are pulled into a new world of bizarre and unusual. Since these books are not meant to be read from cover to cover readers can skip around finding snippets of interest throughout the book. This can be much less intimidating for reluctant readers.
