My Project
Many students at our high school don't have access to a gym with weights and need to be part of a sports team in order to gain access to weights. I want to be able to provide the school with resources that will give students who aren't part of a sports team the opportunity to learn how to weightlift and row in a safe environment.
Athletic clubs like Dragon Boat don't have any access to weights and rowers, and this would really help the 50+ students in the club discover and learn about the benefits of weightlifting and rowing in their training regimen.
The goal is to allow anyone who wants to learn how to weightlift to gain the opportunity to learn with adult supervision.
More than half my school gets free or reduced lunch and don't have the resources needed to get access to a gym with weights and these materials will help alleviate that.
