Weightlifting Materials for High Schoolers

Help me give my students two heavy duty exercise bikes and other gym equipment to help our weightlifting team prepare for competitions.

My Students

Our school is a hidden gem in our urban school district. We're an alternative public school that primarily serves at-risk-students by providing a caring, personalized environment in which students are allowed to work at their own pace. We use a solution-focused approach to helping our kids overcome whatever obstacles they face.

Our students have faced a wide variety of struggles that led them to our alternative school and they come from all walks of life, but every one of our students who graduate say that our school changed their life.

My Project

Our basement gym is a great place to work out. Our weightlifting team just needs some additional equipment that will help the team prepare for weightlifting competitions.

Students on our weightlifting team will be able to train more safely and effectively with the requested material.

Much of the equipment requested here is approved by national and international weightlifting organizations for official use at competitions.

The knee sleeves, belt, and wrist wraps will give extra support to our students' knees, backs, and wrists as they bench press, squat and deadlift. The exercise bikes are heavy-duty (unlike the current ones we have) so kids over 225lb can use them for conditioning, which is an important part of preparing for weightlifting competitions. And a couple of extra bumper plates will make it easier for kids to workout on multiple olympic bars at the same time.
