Because of your support, our library has new books to help our students see themselves and their place in a changing world.\r\n\r\nBooks like The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee and The 500 Years of Indigenous Resistance Comic Book provide crucially expanded views of history. As our students navigate their own identities titles like All Boys Aren't Blue, All Out, and Every Day offer a sense of validation and safety. Having All About Love and Big Chicas Don't Cry available allows our students the opportunity to explore complex themes dealing with relationships, resilience, and emotional intelligence—skills that play an important role in reading the world around ourselves. Stories like Alias Anna and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn provide opportunities to see how resilience can be found in a world where humans don't always live up to the challenge of making the world a less harmful place.\r\n\r\nYour investment in these young readers is an investment in a more empathetic and informed future. The fish lamp with its smooth music adds a soothing atmosphere, and it is helping students stay grounded and focused. What made it even more special is that my students helped put the chairs together themselves which gave them a real sense of pride and ownership in the space.\r\n\r\n💡 Student reactions: When everything was set up, their faces lit up. Students immediately went for the beanbag and chairs, saying things like \"this feels like home.\" It has gotten so popular that I even have a little \"lunch bunch\" of students who come in during lunch just to hang out in the space. It was not planned but it is okay 😂.\r\n\r\n🚀 What is next: We are using the space daily for independent work, group discussions, and even those quiet reset moments students need. The environment is already boosting motivation and helping students feel supported.\r\n\r\nYour donations did not just give us furniture. You helped create a safe and welcoming community spot inside our school.
