it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a K-1 bridge, self-contained classroom, with one teacher and four paraprofessionals. Our community is made up of twelve students that are visual and hands-on learners. Each child has a different diagnosis ranging from Autism to Speech and Language Impairments. They are also ESL or Bilingual learners. The students in my classroom come from very diverse backgrounds but they have one thing in common; they love school, are very motivated, and enjoy using different strategies in the classroom to help them keep calm.
We need size small and medium weighted vests.
My special needs students get easily frustrated and have a hard time focusing through the school day. They also have difficulty sitting in their chairs. This interferes with their academics. We would like to continue avoiding tantrums and keeping my students focused by having a few more weighted vests in different sizes available. Since my kindergarten/first grade class has so many different age groups, not all kids fit into the same weighted vest. It is important that the weighted vest the students wear is a tight fit to have the best results.
Please help us get size medium and small weighted vests for our classroom. It is crucial to have a these items in a self-contained classroom to help students stay calm, safe and focused during all academic lessons and throughout the school day!
