This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Learning remotely is something that is new for my students and for me as a teacher. I currently have twenty students that don't have access to devices while our school is closed. My school will be closed until the fall. My students want to continue learning.
My Project
Weekends can seem long to a student that is use to getting their meal from school. When school was open I would have two cabinets filled with snacks for my students. Every Friday we would take ziplock bags and fill them up with snacks for my students to take home over the weekend.
I would like to continue this traditional norm for my students to provide them with some sense of normalcy.
I want to provide my students with these snacks to allow them to feel as if they are in school. My students work so hard on their daily assignments. They are use to accessing these snacks when we are in school. This is something that has been taken away from them because of our nationwide pandemic. My students deserve to focus on learning and not on huger.
