My students need these Scholastic Science Spin magazines because we have nothing to use for Science in the second grade. We are pulling our Science stuff from different sources.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach second grade at a Title I School where my students really require us, as teachers, to meet their basic needs before we begin to teach them. As a teacher in a small community and a Title I School, it is hard to receive the resources that are needed not only from parents but also the school.

No matter what they face on a daily basis, my students come to school every day ready to learn with bright smiles and happy faces.

This makes my job that much easier and desirable to come to. With more resources and more training, I feel that my students would thrive more in the classroom and also outside of the classroom.

My Project

I am creating this project for my grade level to receive Science Spin magazines from Scholastic for the fall.We have to put science stuff together on our own because we do not have a certain book or website to pull from.

Having these magazines would be life savers!

We would not only have something to focus on, but they also contain activities and a digital component to keep our students engaged. Also each student would be able to have their own copy. This would benefit our students because we would be able to include more science in their everyday studies.
