This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Warm clothing, jackets, gloves, hats, and rain gear will ensure my students—many of whom live in shelters—are comfortable and ready to learn, no matter the weather. By providing these essentials, I can help remove physical barriers like being too cold or wet to focus, allowing them to stay healthy, engaged, and focused on their education. These items will give them the comfort and confidence to succeed, both in and outside the classroom.
I aim to provide each student with the winter essentials they need to feel comfortable, safe, and supported so they can focus on learning and reach their full potential.
With these resources, I hope to create an environment where every child feels valued and ready to take on the day.
What makes my students special is their resilience and sense of community. Despite the difficulties they face, including housing instability, they remain positive and eager to learn. With the right support, they can overcome any challenge and continue to thrive.
