Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Last year, our district implemented a new program called CKLA (Core Knowledge Language Arts). For second grade, I am looking to add books to enhance the students' reading fluency. I selected the Magic Tree House series to take the children on amazing journeys through time and space with Jack and Annie. I also chose the Amelia Bedelia books for their short, fast-paced chapters that are sure to make the students laugh. Lastly, I included the Junie B. Jones series so my students can embark on adventures with Junie B., the funniest kindergartner.
