My Students
Let's save paper! We dislike the idea of wasting paper everyday to solve math problems on a daily basis. We try to use as little paper as possible and go to our trusty whiteboards and markers. Unfortunately, our challenge is that we are low on markers.
These 44 2nd graders are a savvy little bunch.
They are quick to solve math problems and are always ready to share with the people sitting around them. They are always checking other people's work and are quick to help correct math problems as needed. These students attend a dance based charter school where they have 2 classrooms, 2 second grade teachers and twice as much fun! All this is part of our caring learning community.
My Project
Whiteboard markers will allow us to solve math problems in a snap, share the answers quicker than on paper, and allow the learning to flow much more smoother. I can continue with math meeting (where they solve 7 different types of math problems) continue our power point math trivia games (where they record answers on their whiteboards) and allow student to quickly display solved math problems and for me to easily check them at the rug.
We need markers and erasers to solve math problems on whiteboards and save paper!
Let's help our environment by saving paper and using it when truly necessary. I can check for understanding much quicker this way and it is more efficient.
