This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are absolutely incredible. Every day they amaze me with their talent and their ways of expressing themselves through music. I believe that I have one of the best jobs in the world as a music teacher. It is a great honor to serve these students at our high school.

I have 150+ aspiring musicians that I get the privilege of teaching!

Their skill levels vary, however, every student finds a place in our guitar program. All of the students are engaged in the curriculum but also make time for their own musical endeavors. Students participate in performance opportunities, partake in outreach programs, study with many professional musicians from around Tucson, and have the autonomy to choose their own musical paths.

I am very proud of my students and their accomplishments.I want what is best for them and I want them to flourish with the best materials and gear possible.

My Project

My students are learning guitar and audio production and mixing from home due to mandated remote learning. However, there are not enough resources and our schools cannot fund the purchase of these essential items to help our students succeed. This project will ensure equity among students. They will all have access to what they need. Each student will have a guitar and a way to record themselves with audio interfaces and microphones. The quality of their work will shine bright and rock your socks off with the use of these items. Thank you for your help!
