My Students
In our school, we have roughly 300+ students who come from all different walks of life. My students come from different home backgrounds and ethnicities as well.
Our school services grades Preschool-6 and has an English program as well as a Hawaiian immersion program.
I will be teaching kindergarten this upcoming year on the English side, but I do love that different cultures are represented in a school setting! This is the grade where kids are just starting to learn what school is all about.
My Project
These materials will be able to help my students rotate during Centers Time. With a literacy center chart, students will know where they are going during rotation time and what group they are are in.
When they are at the listening center, the students will be able to engage in building upon their literacy and math skills.
This will help them with various tasks, help them become more competent readers and help me with differentiation because the students will be able to work on different math skills.
When we have our morning meeting, the pocket chart will help us all gain a better understanding of the days of the week and seasons. Everything essential to being a Kindergartner!
