This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am moving to a new school and a new grade level this year. While I haven't yet met my students for this year, I am confident that having a bright and fun classroom that is set up effectively for learning will help my students to be excited for learning as well.

My new classroom is bright and fun!

While it has a lot of the things that I need, it only has 1 whiteboard in the back of the room. I want students to have the ability to practice and display their work easily at their desks as well as around the room during group work. The moveable and adjustable whiteboard is something that I will be able to use near the smart board to provide additional practice and examples, but I will also be able to move to other locations when we are doing out-of-seat work as well.

In addition, I added some specific items that match the theme of my room and can be used to give students ownership of their learning environment and also to motivate and reward their efforts.
