My Students

This is my first year of teaching and at first I was really nervous. I wasn't sure how fifth graders were going to be in the classroom. I love my students all dearly. They are eager to learn and enthusiastic about their education. I was surprised by how much they knew and how much they taught me.

5th grade students sure know how to keep me on my toes!

They ask so many great questions and our conversations are so in-depth. I have to be really prepared as their teacher to insure I am providing them with the best education I can.

My Project

Because of Covid our returning students are so behind in many areas and I would like to find things that can make learning more fun as they struggle to make up and keep up with what we are teaching them.

I would love to see their faces light up when we approach any of the lessons that we teach, and by having the stem projects and the supplies requested, I know we can make this happen for my students.

The timer will be used so that my students know how much work time they have left, as it is not good practice to cut off students without warning.

The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. I like the idea fo having the clipboard as the white board so that it can do double duty.
