Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Underprivileged with no money. That's what my students are. They are the most excited 4th grade students. They want to learn and I want to teach them. They deserve to have some new tools to learn with. Learning should be fun. That way students do not even realize they are learning. My students need to be exposed to a higher level way of thinking. Taking a serious subject like reading and turning it into a fun, relaxing activity is an awesome way to teach and learn. Teaching in NY has one major downfall. Lack of money. Ideas blossom all around me from inside my students' heads. They come up with great ideas like this one and I try my best to make it reality.

Books are an essential part of reading right? I do not have enough books in my room to engage all of my students for the entire year. They want to read at a higher level. Just today, one student said, "I need more books to read so I can level up." Having the recognition and understanding is what I strive for my students to have. Now that they do, I need help getting them the materials.

Please help bring my students' reading levels up. We need books. We need lots of books. Various titles and levels. Chapter books. My students want to read all the time but we are almost out of books for them to read.

Help us! We are craving words. We are craving higher learning. We need your help to make our dreams reality.
