My students need reliable, good quality headphones to use in our music class. We have a music curriculum that has an online component for students to listen to, create, and explore music.

My Students

Do you remember the excitement of going to music class in elementary school?

My school is a public school with a very high English as a Second Language population, and it is a high poverty school.

My school has about 500 students in grades kindergarten - 5th grade. My students love to make music. They are excited to learn, create and explore music. With these headphones, my students will get this opportunity to use technology to enhance their music class.

My Project

My students are excited to come to music class.

This year, I was able to purchase a music curriculum that has an online component for students to use their knowledge from class and become composers, arrangers, musicians, and learners of music.

We do have iPads we can use in class; however, we do not have any reliable headphones that work. Many are broken or only one side works, and wires are fraying. Sometimes we spend so much time trying to get headphones to work that they don't have time to create. Creating, playing, and exploring music, on their own, is an experience I want my students to be able to have.
