We Want to Have a Ball!

My Students

Fourth graders are a great age to teach! They are mastering skills and striving to conquer new challenges. It can also be a challenging age to teach -- each trying to find their niche in the group as a whole.

One thing I love about this age is that they love learning new things.

They are at the age where American History begins to make sense, math is becoming more complex, and literature is more appealing.

Fourth graders experience many challenges and successes as academics become more rigorous. One challenge with all students is keeping them engaged and interested. It is pure joy to see students excited about projects.

My Project

Exercise is an important part of a student's education! Without opportunity for movement students become disengaged or disruptive because they need to move.

Our playground is equipped with a basketball court and big grassy area that makes a great soccer field or football field, but we need equipment!

Students may not be on teams, but still love to play these sports. Often times not playing by official rules, yet still having fun!

Boys, as well as, girls love to engage in these activities. The provision of these balls, as well as, a bag for keeping orderly will enhance our recess time each day.
