We Want To Create Assessments Instead Of Doing Worksheets!
My students need crayons and glue to create their own assessments, and a display board and magnetic board to present their assessments.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ammann's classroom raised $540
This project is fully funded
I teach very curious and highly active kindergartners who enjoy using their imagination to express what they learn. They come from a high-need community.
My students love to use their imaginations to access knowledge and create projects that act as assessments instead of sitting in their seats completing a typical worksheet assessment. They are also very eager to share what they have created. The community and the school have very little funds to buy extra glue and crayons for the students to create these projects. There are also little to no funds to buy furniture and boards to provide the students with the opportunity to share their projects.
I am asking for crayons and glue, two of the supplies we go through the fastest. The school provides plenty of paper but glue and crayons are in short supply and many of my students do not have the money to provide their own supplies. They enjoy drawing, cutting, gluing, and creating using their imagination to demonstrate what they have learned.
My students also enjoy sharing and displaying what they have created. However, my school does not have the funds to provide us with new boards or furniture. Thus my students hold their work to share it and then hang it on the wall. They also enjoy writing down and illustrating their thoughts during group conversations...the board and display cart would allow the students to do this often, as our chalk board is not very high quality and is often difficult to write on.
By donating to my project you will empower my students to expand their learning and the sharing of their learning beyond completing a worksheet.
