This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is a PreK class that has been around for only 3 years. This class is in a low income school in Hialeah, Florida. We are located a few miles away from Miami. Our population is 99% immigrants which are lacking many resources.
We currently dont have many materials for science except for some posters and puzzles.
Having new materials for our science center would spark interest in science for my students. I would love for them to be able to explore with magnets, mixing colors, discover weights, and feel like real scientists.
