My Students
We live in a state that experiences terrible inversions throughout the winter season. We experience seasonal allergies and more recently we are dealing with Covid, the flu, and another virus' spreading throughout the classroom and greatly affecting our attendance. I am requesting an air purifier for the special education pre-school classroom to help make sure it's a healthy space for our students so we can keep students in class where we can effectively serve them.
My Project
Learning can be difficult when it is often interrupted by absences. We have students that suffer from asthma, or allergies or very often get colds or viruses' and we really worry about some of our special needs students that are on health care plans. Sharing germs and unclean air can affect them even more. We want to make a difference in the classroom by installing an air purifier. I'm hopeful that this will help decrease the number of absences we see day to day and help with students' overall health.
