This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school each day ready to learn. They are a unique group. They are friendly, loving, and courageous. They come from various backgrounds. One hundred percent of the students eat free breakfast and lunch each day. The economic status of the area would qualify it for the highest poverty area. More than 80% of my students are immigrants from South America, Central America, Africa, and Europe. When I think about America, I see it in my classroom. We are the melting pot of America. One big diverse community, living and learning together as one.
Each student works hard to achieve and works hard toward their own personal goals for success.
This attitude makes it possible to meet our goals. My students love learning! They come to school each day with an energy that keeps me going even on the toughest day. They make me laugh and it is my hope that I am able to make their educational experience the best they've ever had. This project will help us meet our goals.
My Project
My students love to write their own original stories. They keep journals of their personal experiences and ideas. They build on these ideas to create their writing pieces. Spiral notebooks and the notebook paper will be a great help to my students who will fill each page with their writing.
Giving my students the opportunity to write unique pieces gives them the chance to express their creativity.
It is so special when I am able to help them through the process. I love listening to their ideas and reading their finished products. The hand sanitizer I added into this project will help us all stay healthy while in school surrounded by the colds and flu that occur each year. Having enough hand sanitizer is always a challenge each year and staying healthy is a must.
It is my hope to always be able to give my students the supplies they need to be successful. I feel so blessed to know my students work so hard and do their best at all times. They are really inspiring young people! They will be so happy to receive these writing supplies. I thank you in advance for all of your help.
