This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My wonderful students come from the neighborhood around the school and are a delight to teach. We are a Title I school, and the boys and girls represent a diverse population. I love my position as the school librarian and enjoy seeing the classes once per week. I have created Literature Review Buckets for each table. They rotate each week. Students have about 30 different books to read and reviews during library class. My students LOVE all the Mo Willems books we have. They stay checked out all the time. We would love some new MO Willems books to add to our collection.
My Project
My students would love more books by one of their favorite authors Mo Willims to add to our literature review buckets. Each week my students get a different collection of books to read and review during library classes. We are limited in the number of Mo Willims books that we have in our literature review buckets. I feel it is important for my students to follow authors they love and strive to read all the books they have written.
My students check out our Mo Willims books all the time and ask for more books by him every week.
The Mo Willims books have a variety of animals characters that are very entertaining. There is a pigeon that tries to drive the bus and looks for hot dogs. Gerald is an adorable elephant who wears glasses and has a pig for a best friend. Each of these characters have several different books in their series by award winning author Mo Willims. Please help us add MO books to our collection.
