Help me give my students the foundation of our country that they can always take with them... the Constitution.

My Project

Students in 8th grade will learn about our Founding Fathers and the founding documents. They will going to DC, New York and Philly. They will be learning about the Constitution and I use the actual Constitution as their textbook in order to be informed citizens of the future.

Students will learn to research and reference original documents and interpret the original meaning.

Students will discuss whether some documents can be interpreted differently over time versus the original intent. This can be referred to a "living document"

The pocket constitutions will be used as a textbook for the students to reference and analyze.
