Help me give my students devices to assist with inquiry and research on our Civics and US History projects and to be able to do Power Point Presentations.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we strive to provide the best education for our students in Miami Dade County Public School, I wanted to highlight the critical importance of technology in Title I schools like mine. Technology plays a crucial role in enhancing learning experiences, bridging educational gaps, and preparing our students for a tech-driven future. Unfortunately, my limited resources often hinder me from fulfilling this need effectively and with fidelity. By receiving these laptops in my classroom, I am able to create a more engaging and adaptive learning environment, while empowering my students to succeed.
Our students attend an inner-city school, identified as an equity focus school.
In our gifted program, students engage heavily in inquiry and research to accelerate their critical thinking skills. However, our district has cut the budget for technology, and I have never had devices for my students. This lack of resources significantly impacts our ability to provide the quality education they deserve
