As this is difficult for everyone, I believe it's important to focus on the kids that are struggling in these trying times. These are our future essential workers and it pains me to think that some of these children are unable to learn due to such unfortunate circumstances. Let's help get some distance learning tools and possibly save an extra meal or two for 20+ families! You've heard it many times before but WE REALLY ARE IN THIS TOGETHER and please keep caring for one another!!
My Project
As an educator, my normal style uses a very 'hands on' approach with and adjusting has been extremely tough. With that being said, I am thinking about my students materials and how the rest of this difficult year will look for families.
Please help me give my students learning materials for home and distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Students are not able to leave their homes due to the quarantine in Brookline & Boston. My students need a variety of books to read, math games and math materials, reading comprehension books, and hands-on learning materials.
I know that this summer will be very difficult for families and students especially. My students need these materials to complete assignments during the summer months. My students need kits that contain grade-level reading material. These kits also contain hands-on learning materials that make learning exciting! These materials will be mailed directly to my student's home and also include snacks! My goal is to provide families with these materials and hopefully make one less tough decision to worry about!
