My Project

My classroom is full of kind, compassionate, and hardworking students. Most of them are excited to learn and strive to do their very best each day. My students also come from diverse backgrounds with various abilities and needs.

Unfortunately, too many students come to school without their basic needs being met.

It's hard to focus on learning when you missed breakfast. It can be distracting to try to learn when you're concerned about your hair or your clothing.

By funding this project, you are helping me to create a "Care Closet" within my classroom. This closet will have some basic hygiene supplies that students will be able to take free of charge. Many of these items are needs that my students in the past have had. I am excited to be able to provide my students with the supplies they need to be comfortable and happy while at school.
