Recess is important to fourth graders. It is a time to play, explore, be with friends, and escape the rigor of the classroom for a moment. As a new 4th grade teacher I discovered that the recess bin currently found in my room is looking a little sparse. We have a few old jump ropes and a basketball that have seen better days. I am hoping to fund this project in order to buy the 4th grade recess supply kit listed. This kit is especially created with 4th grade students in mind and will offer my students with a variety of games to play and enjoy - including some that may be new to them. Furthermore, I love that all of the equipment is the same color. This will help the students distinguish our equipment from other classes to ensure that it is returned to our recess bucket at the end of their break!
