My students need the book "Bullying in Schools," other books, bully free activities, and a Kindle to help support our desire to be Bully Free in our School!
Being bullied at school is a terrible thing! Our school does its best to teach the against bullying, but with limited limited budgets and cutbacks, our hands are tied. Won't you help us STOP this horrible trait!
I have 21 students who love to learn but to tell you the TRUTH....this year we are having a BULLYING problem!
It is so sad! We are a socioeconomically disadvantaged school in rural East Texas. Most of my kids are free lunch and some really have nothing at home. For many this is the ONLY safe place they have. They are fed, sheltered and loved as much as possible while at school. BUT, we cannot control what happens out of the classroom and they see a lot of adult bullying behaviors.
My Project
We need books on the topic of bullying, such as "Bullying in Schools", "Pinky and Rex and the Bully", Bully Activity Cards, and a Kindle Fire to research Internet sites on bullying to present to their peers. The anti-bullying book will inform my students. The activities will provide games and puzzle to reinforce our NO BULLY theme. And the Kindle will be used to download apps on bullying that will help teach my students about what bullying is, what it looks and feels like, and what they need to do to be safe.
This project will assist in teaching my students character skills and problem solving skills that will last a lifetime.
Ending bullying begins with knowledge. Please help my students reach the goal of a "bully free zone" at school! Having the books and Kindle will raise awareness and solutions to bullying.
