This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a 3rd grade teacher that gets the pleasure of teaching a group of inquisitive students who love hands on activities.

My students are scholars, explores, inventors, and artists who have a love for learning.

I love having the opportunity to introduce new concepts and strategies to them. To have a part in helping them learn about the world we live in is a gift. The idea that I could help my students develop new passions and interests to continue on this path of exploration is what makes me love what I do.

My Project

As an educator, I am constantly looking for new and innovative ways to present material and motivate my class. My students are very interested in video production and auditory learning. I will use this project to tap into this passion and help them make a connection with our material.

Video production and podcasting encourages and fosters students' creativity while helping them make connections to concepts that can be difficult to grasp.

Through the funding of this project, my students will use iPads, green screen, microphones and other helpful tools to create, record, and edit their own standards-based green screen videos and podcasts. Not only will they learn technology-based skills but they will also be able to make abstract concepts come to life through storytelling and performing. This will help to create a love for learning in my students that will last a lifetime.
