Help me give my students supplies for painting! Our paintbrushes are old and the bristles are worn - help us get new brushes! Our paint supplies are running low - help us fill back up!
I am the art teacher at a charter school north of Atlanta. We have a wide variety of students from all sorts of backgrounds in our STEM focused school. We have started to integrate the arts to create STEAM! I teach kindergarten up to fifth grade. We've worked on projects from paper mache sculptures of birds to prosthetic legs of found objects! Our school loves to tackle problems with a creative solving attitude. New projects on our horizon include a stop-motion animation of pollination and sewing our own fashion for a show!
My Project
How can we do art in elementary without paint? It's a staple! We love to paint in art. But the years have been tough on the paintbrushes we have. Their handles are breaking and the bristles are falling out. Our palettes have dried paint and we have been using disposable cups for water. Hundreds of kids working together really goes through paint, too!
So help us get some new paintbrushes, from small brushes for fine detail to large brushes for little hands to grip!
Help us get new palettes and reusable water cups, which is better for the Earth and us! And help us fill back up on our paint!
