This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During this new time in our lives, students all around the city will be adjusting to this new way of learning. We need your help.
My 4th grade students come from a low income area school.
Many live in subsidized housing. They have many different interests, personalities, and ways of life. They are a unique bunch, but they all have a way about them that makes them special. Most of my students are less fortunate than others. As teachers, we often go out of pocket to supply students with the supplies they need for everyday school work. Our administration does what they can, but funding is limited. Despite it all, they are all upbeat and never put anyone else down who might be less fortunate than others. It is that unique and special gift that makes them a joy to teach.
My Project
My students will be using their technology both in the classroom and at home to support their learning.
I work at a public school in the East Village of Manhattan.
My students will be using technology each day at school. On some days they may forget their technology or the battery may have died! This is problematic if they are expected to use their technology throughout the day! We do not want our students to feel stressed and concerned if they should not be able to get their device working. Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.
