How could one truly be articulate, when they are hindered by a limited vocabulary?
My students convene daily in my classroom, after completing their sometimes arduous, morning journeys from all over NYC.
Our second home, school, is located in a small industrial neighborhood, in Long Island City, Queens N.Y. I am most fortunate, because, on a daily basis, I get to spend my time with the most interesting teens in the world!
My Project
I can not wait to watch my students eagerly scour their new dictionaries and thesauruses, to find the perfect word that will align to their thoughts! The English language is a beautiful work of living art, that one could only truly appreciate when we learn to love its nuances.
This project will guide the learning of students for many years to come.
Perhaps, the most beautiful part of this project is that it will assist in the acquisition of language for learners on all levels, from emerging, all the way to Advanced Placement.
