This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of amazingly smart and inquisitive fourth graders willing to learn.

Many of my students come from tough family situations.

Our school is considered high poverty with over ninety percent of our students qualifying for free or reduced priced meals. However, that does not tell the picture of what my students are capable of; my students are bright, knowledgeable, bilingual and determined to have successful academic futures. And they work together very hard to achieve it!

My Project

My students love learning, but they also love showing off their learning. They are happy when they have to draw or write to show their learning. They become much more participatory when they use whiteboards or colors, and their learning just grows by doing that.

However, my students come from low-income backgrounds and cannot afford important supplies they need for school.

By funding this project, you would be providing my students with the notebooks, crayons or mini whiteboards they need to strive in the classroom.

These supplies really help my students in their learning, motivating them and making it more creative and fun, and therefore, more successful.
