Help me give my students some basic supplies such as twistable gel crayons, photo paper, painters tape and Velcro, to keep our classroom in working order throughout the year!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are an amazing group of kids. They enjoy coming to school and learning. We are in a Title I school and 100% of the students receive free lunch. Some may say I work in a low income area, I say what we lack in income, we make up in heart and community.
Our classroom contains many different cultural groups including Hispanic, African American, Native American, and Middle Eastern.
I am working not only with first time students, but also English Language Learners. The supplies I am asking for will help use run the day to day basics of the classroom. I have asked for paint, diffuser paper, and beading supplies for our art area to encourage creativity. I ordered a set of Mr. Sketch smelly crayons, sun print paper, and heavy cardstock for the science area, so we can use our senses to learn and record data. I have asked for Velcro, Command hooks, and packing tape to hang up posters and art in order to beautify our classroom. I have also asked for markers and painters tape to help me work on preschool GLAD (Guided Language Acquisition Design), and work on those Tier 3 words with my kiddos.
