My Students
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I ask them, "Who is the best first grade class in the whole world?" and they reply, "We are!" I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in Texas.
My students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. Our class is busy doing Daily 5 and math stations.
My Project
My students will use the iPad mini for Istation and other learning apps during Daily 5. We will also use it during math stations to practice skills previously taught as well as practicing math facts. These students need a great deal of practice and this is a great motivator for learning.
Many of my students do not have access to technology outside of school and this iPad mini will expose them to new technology.
The whisper phones will enable students hear themselves read during Read to Self. This will improve their fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. We need these items to help us be successful learners.
