This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our technology world is booming! What about those who cannot afford to have the technological world at their hands? My students need 2 HP net book computers in the classroom to be able to access a world of resources needed for success!
These enthusiastic, eager learners consist of special needs and English language learners coming from low-income, impoverished families with challenging backgrounds.
They are kind, respectful, young individuals who need frequent encouragement and stimulation in their learning. They try so hard to learn, participate, and to succeed despite their learning abilities. Our inner city school is 97.1% free lunch with very little resources.
My Project
Your generous donation of these HP net book computers will allow my students the opportunity to have the world at their fingertips. They will have the ability to research interesting facts, biographies, graph math data etc. When asked to complete a research paper, they will have the ability to type their papers rather than continuously writing and re-writing.
My students have so much to say, but when it comes to writing it down, it becomes a daunting task. They love typing and seeing their thoughts displayed before their very eyes. A laptop will allow each child the chance to gain the confidence they deserve to engage in all content areas.
