We are 95% African-American, 2% Haitian-American, 2% Hispanic, and 1% Caucasian with 94% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Our school is located in the inner city of Miami, Florida. Although our students are faced with many socio-economic challenges, they seek a high-quality education to become productive citizens.
My Project
These storage bins will help our classrooms function efficiently and be productive places of learning and development. The storage bins will enable teachers and students to quickly access hands-on math manipulatives and resources prior to each lesson. Organization is an important component of a well-run classroom.
With an organized classroom storage system, teachers and students will be able to find hands-on math materials to build conceptual understanding of foundational math topics.
These storage bins are the right size to store all of the classroom sets which, in turn, will help keep these resources well organized and in good shape.
