This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We have some amazing students here. I have never seen so many kids excited to see me on a daily basis because they are excited to learn and try something new.
The resources at our school do not always reflect our students' excitement for learning and achieving.
We want our students to have the quality education that every kid deserves but sometimes the resources are just not adequate. My desire is that despite where are students are coming from, they can come to school and know that they have everything they need to succeed in life because of what they have learned at school.
My Project
My students love new games and activities, Spike-ball is just that. Most of my kids have not had the chance to interact with games like spike ball. Spike-ball, and other lawn games, teach coordination, teamwork, and strategy.
These two spike-ball sets will be a great way to get all of my students engaged in movement.
Because spike-ball is a team game multiple students will be able to play at a time. Students will be able to still work in small groups which will enable our students to develop confidence without the pressure of performing in front of a large group.
Our students will be so excited to to try Spike ball!
