I believe students should get their hands dirty, as in they need to learn by doing and applying what they learn. As a STEAM teacher, this means I have a ton of materials and need space to make all of them available for my students to use. My students know my classroom is theirs and nothing is off limits except my backpack. When it comes to taking materials, my only rule for my students is to ask me first. I only have this rule so I know what needs to be replaced.
I need a large storage containers to hold more supplies allowing me to consolidate like materials, making my room more user friendly for myself and students to navigate.
By consolidating my materials by their purposes in the storage bins, I can design my room to be more functional so all my 3D printing items will be in one area, laser cutting, sublimation, Silhouette cutting, makerspace, etc. will all be organized in a way students can get to quickly and safely.
The baby wipes make cleaning up between classes quick and easy, and the cotton balls are to refill our stock as my 3rd graders just used the last of them creating squishies in our makerspace.
