We Need Science Materials For Our Little Ones!

My students need 16 various materials to help us learn science concepts in our curriculum, such as 12 compasses, 20 clipboards, hamster food, models of our solar system, an indoor greenhouse, a geometry mystery box, and various science books about our class pets and science concepts in our curriculum. Having these materials will help our little ones understand and love science!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I work with wonderful, inquisitive Pre-K children in a high need area. They are very interested in learning about the world all around them. They are constantly asking me questions about science and they want to know it all!

Due to severe budget cuts in education, we are not receiving new science materials this year. Science materials are so important to Pre-K kids because it helps them understand the world around them. They want to know all about animals, how things work, and why things happen. Without age appropriate science materials, it would be very hard for children to understand. Young children need a hands-on experience to learn and they need materials to have this learning experience.

Getting hands-on materials such as the talking solar system, a classroom greenhouse (which in NY is essential to grow throughout the school year), books about our class pets, and clipboards to draw our observations on trips/neighborhood walks will help us have a science experience that will allow the children to learn through a hands-on experience.

Your help will make it possible for students to have their questions answered. I can teach them and they can learn on their own through working with materials that will help them learn. Please help us get the materials we need so our little Pre-K kids can learn all about science and have fun doing it! Thank you!!!
