Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are general education students in a Title I school. Our community is economically disadvantaged and many of my students are reading two or more grade levels below where they need to be.

They love reading and they work hard and are eager to become better readers.

My Project

I am requesting fun and engaging centers and decodable books from Teachers Pay Teachers that will help my students become successful readers. I will be using these resources during my guided reading time and students will be using them to practice independently at their centers. These resources will he helpful for my students practice reading skills and be able to read decodable books based on the week's skill. These resources are research based and will help my students practice to become successful in reading and writing.

I have resources readily available for my students that are reading at grade level but struggle to find resources for my low students especially decodable books that they are able to read on their own.
