My Students
My scholars are bright, unique, and motivated learners. They attend our Philadelphia public Title I school. When I see my students excited to learn, this drives my passion to teach. Each year with a new group of children is a journey, and this year we are eager to add more individualized instruction and engaging technology-based lessons.
My students are truly some of the most inquisitive and intrinsically motivated learners I have ever had the pleasure of teaching.
All of our students live below the poverty line and are reading below grade level. We have many students in foster homes and some in shelters. Please help me provide the tools they need to close the achievement and increase reading levels.

My Project
Over the past two years classrooms have looked very different. Now that we are back in person full time on of my goals is to get back to pencil and paper.
Using paper and pencil helps students with tracking, handwriting and building their writing stamina.
Your donation would allow each child to have their own notebook to use in reading each day. Students use these interactive notebooks for vocabulary practice, writing summaries and practicing figurative language. We are also trying to keep our classroom clean and healthy, the Swiffer will allow us to have clean floors in our learning environment. Thank you for considering our project!
