My Students

œMusic gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. - Plato My amazing second grade students will be more than elated to learn how to play an instrument.

My magnificent second grade students are always so excited and open minded to learn.

That is simply magnified when it comes to learning something new like playing an instrument or learning about music. At our school not every class has the privilege to participate in music class. If a class does participate, it is usually for a quarter of the year, and for about 25 minutes a week. Not enough time? I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, our school is located in a very rough neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles where education in the arts is scarce or extinct. So, if our children are exposed to education in music, it happens at school.

My Project

With recorders and bells my students can learn about rhythm and beat and love and appreciate the art of music. Music can be taught regularly, as it should. With access to recorders my students will learn about wind instruments. The bells will not only make beautiful sounds, but my students will learn how to create music with them. My students would love this experience!

Music is part of everyone's life.

These recorders and bells will allow my students to experience the art of music in a whole different way. Help me to bring this amazing experience to my students.
