We Need Mo Books for Pre-K Students in the East Village

My students need different Mo Willems books for our classroom library.

My Students

Trying to keep a 4 year old focused during a read aloud is extremely challenging, but Mo Willems has made it possible with his clever story lines.

I've never seen children become so entranced with a set of books before.

The Piggie and Elephant collection and Pigeon Collection are all time favorite books for my kids that I keep borrowing from a local library. It would be really nice to have my own set in my classroom.

My Project

Having my own Piggie and Elephant book set in my classroom will allow me to share these wonderful books with my kids and their parents by starting my own lending library to promote reading at home. With your help, having this class set will allow me to share these books with my students and their families to promote the importance of reading.

I teach 18 four-year-olds and they have the most inspiring little faces you'll ever see.

One of the many benefits of teaching in Manhattan is that our students are extremely diverse. They all come in with different types of life experiences, but as soon as they walk through the classroom door, they all need the same opportunities to develop their reading skills.
