My Students

My students love to play! My students enjoy doing centers in our classroom and Magna-Tiles have always been a favorite to use.

Magna-Tiles are a perfect center or free choice item for students to manipulate, build, be creative and stimulate their mind!

My students are very curious about their world around them and love to learn through hands-on materials. The majority of my students enter my classroom at five years old. Some of them have had a couple years of experience in the classroom, and some have not. By incorporating play as part of our learning experience, I can reach all of my students at their particular academic and social levels.

My Project

My students love learning during our center time. In our centers, I love to incorporate literacy, math, and science activities throughout our centers. This can be challenging to keep my students engaged throughout the entire year without lots of different, and unique materials. The translucent magnetic tiles will give my students a fun way to explore geometry concepts…as they build! The plastic tiles have magnets built right in, so they stick together from every side—as kids explore symmetry, area & perimeter, angles and more. These would be a very good addition to our center materials that would keep my kiddos engaged!

My students crave the ability to be creative, build, and play all at the same time!

The Magna-Tiles allow my students to do all of these things, but all me as the teacher to engage them in academic conversations while they are building.

Engaging materials for my Kindergarten students are extremely important so that my students are interested in what they are learning about. These hands-on materials are super important so that my students are learning about geometric shapes through play during our centers time.
