Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember learning how to spell and recognize your name? My first graders are just learning how to write and learn their name.
I currently teach 27 very sweet first graders in a Title I school located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.
My Project
I am requesting a variety of name tags for several reasons. My first graders are required to wear name tags with their school ID's every time they eat lunch. They also need to have name tags to put on their desks. Their desk toppers will help them learn to spell the color and shape words as well as number words. Lastly, I would like them to have name stickers on their books in order for them to recognize their names as well as their classmates' names.
Please help my first graders learn how to write and recognize their names.
These name tags will help my students learn their friends' names too. Lastly, it will also help them learn their shapes, colors, and numbers.
